Who we are
Learn with Raphaela / Destino Brasil is an online Portuguese learning and membership experience operated by Raphaela Elias. The service includes web and mobile access to lessons, listening practice, flashcards, chat with Raphaela, media uploads, private lesson scheduling and related support.
By creating an account, buying access, booking a private lesson or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
Our privacy commitments
We collect only the information needed to provide the learning experience, keep accounts secure, process purchases and bookings, support students and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
Some features require access to data you choose to provide, such as chat messages, voice recordings, uploaded media, private lesson scheduling details or notification permissions. You can choose not to use optional features, although some functionality may be limited.
Information we may collect
Account and login data
Name, email address, authentication/session information, account role, access status and basic profile details.
Learning activity
Course access, lesson progress, completed lessons, listening progress, quiz attempts, flashcards, review timing and saved learning items.
Messages and corrections
Chat messages with Raphaela, manual corrections, support replies, message timestamps and unread status.
Uploads and media
Images, videos, audio messages, voice recordings and files you choose to upload or attach inside the service.
Bookings and payment references
Private lesson selections, schedule details, checkout status, Stripe checkout references and billing-related records. Full card details are handled by Stripe.
Device and notification data
Expo push tokens, device/app diagnostics, app events, cookies and similar technologies used for security, analytics and service improvement.
How we use your information
- Provide course access, lessons, progress tracking and app features.
- Enable chat support, Portuguese corrections and media playback.
- Schedule private lessons and manage payment/checkout status.
- Send transactional emails, service notices and requested push notifications.
- Improve learning content, diagnose bugs and protect the service from misuse.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, platform and security obligations.
Retention, offline downloads and deletion
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including active accounts, learning history, support, security, legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Offline lesson downloads are stored locally on your device and may expire or be removed when you log out, when your session is no longer valid or when the app cleans expired downloads.
To request account deletion or data deletion, email [email protected]. Some records, such as payment, fraud-prevention, tax or legal records, may be retained when required or permitted by law.
Privacy choices and LGPD-style requests
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under applicable law, including Brazilian LGPD rights. You can contact us to:

Rules for using the service
Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. Do not share access or use another person's account without permission.
Course access and content
Course videos, lessons, audio, flashcards, materials and teaching content are owned by or licensed to Learn with Raphaela. You may use them for personal learning only.
Acceptable use
Do not copy, resell, scrape, publish, abuse, disrupt or reverse engineer the service. Do not upload unlawful, offensive, harmful or infringing content.
Private lessons and payments
Private lessons are live services, usually delivered by Google Meet or a similar tool. Payment may open through hosted Stripe Checkout on the web. Refunds, cancellations and rescheduling follow the terms shown at purchase or communicated by support.
Availability
We work to keep the service reliable, but access may be interrupted by maintenance, network issues, third-party providers or platform changes.
Changes
We may update these terms or this policy as the service evolves. Material updates will be reflected by changing the date at the top of this page.
